Interview: Rita Sachs from Sa Punta

sa puntaWe have interviewed Rita Sachs from Sa Punta restaurant in Talamanca to find out more about "Sundays with kids at Sa Punta". Rita, 31 and Rodolphe, 39 have two children, Kiara, 8 and Romeo, 5 years old. They have been living in Ibiza for the past 12 years and they have been running Sa Punta for the past 8 years.

You were the first restaurant on the island that offered a kids day. Since when are you doing "Sundays with kids at Sa Punta" and what gave you the idea for it?

sa punta terraceWe started with “Sundays with kids” at Sa Punta in 2008, it was my idea. I realized that nothing was organized for kids by any beach restaurant on the island. And as every mum, I was always looking for a place where we could go out and eat without my children getting bored while we were enjoying the food. As we then had two terraces we decided to dedicate one of them to the little ones with games and activities.

You have always had great ideas and included the children in workshops to prepare their own pizzas or desserts. This year, you are also offering Yoga classes for children. Tell us more about it.

sa punta kids clubThe yoga class is putting together kids from many different countries and of all ages. It gives them the opportunity to enjoy a relaxed activity in a fun way.

Describe the typical Sunday with kids at Sa Punta.

The children are playing with the toys, jumping on the trampoline and bouncy castle, getting their face painted and have time to wind down with the yoga class towards the end of the day. They can enjoy a nice homemade meal esspecially for kids and when it´s getting really hot we end the day with a water battle!

Sundays with kids at Sa Punta are taking place every Sunday throughout the season from 13-17h.
